I've never bought a knitting magazine before yesterday. I've bought several crochet mags, but never really liked the look of crocheted garments much. They seem to have a granny factor that despite my relative coolness, I cannot pull off without looking like a hopeless, ovary-shrinking grandmother to be.

But about a week ago, I picked up this magazine at the bookstore and immediately wanted to make just about everything in it. I think it's because almost everything in it has been knitted in my favorite neutral of the moment, gray. Love, love, love me some gray.
Aaack! I mean seriously! Look at those booties!

And I swear I thought these were for adults, and that's why I didn't buy the book initially, because I don't have any small ones around here. But I found myself thinking about the magazine time and time again over the past week and eventually went back and bought it. They should make great gifts to someone, no?

And this KILLER dress! Again, I wanted it for myself, but the pattern is for a girl's size 8, 10 & 12. Maybe,
maybe if I put down the doughnuts now, by next winter...

That dress would be so easy to size up. You can: change your needles and yarn to a larger gauge; or make a gauge swatch with similar yarn and crunch the numbers. SO easy. Srsly.
