challenge 27

There was a song on an album of mine that I played endlessly when I was seven or eight years old called, "I Love Onions". It was a Looney Tunes album that had the usual sing a longs, such as, "Mother-In=Law", "Monster Mash", "Little Red Riding Hood", and others. I hadn't thought about that album in years until I began painting this latest challenge.
I only remember a bit:
"I don't like shoes that pinch my toes
or people that squirt me with a garden hose but,
ooooooooh, I love onions."
And so I sang it. Over and over and over and over, every twenty minutes or so, as I painted. After driving myself into a near necessary medical attention state, I have decided at the end of the day, I do, in fact, love onions! I took a ton of pictures for this latest challenge and I think I might actually do a series of them in the future. Small little paintings, maybe daily, like the big kids do. There are so many colors and shapes to the near perfect-ness of the onions, and the colors are so warm they're right up my alley.

if I were talented like you, I'd buy beets from the farmer's market and paint them. They were beautiful - red and purple with hints of orange. Perfect fall colors. However I HATE BEETS, although maybe I'd like them if they were fresh...
